Shall we have a moment of silence for Fanucci’s on Lincoln Road, please. It closed recently and it was one of my favorite Italian places to dine –and that’s saying a lot in a town that has a top-notch Italian restaurant on every corner.
If you need a replacement for Fanucci’s, you better get your credit card(s) out because comparable Italian restaurants are mighty expensive. But, if you’re like me and feel that a great meal is worth the bucks, you should hit Quattro Gastronomia Italiana at 1014 Lincoln Road, or Osteria del Teatro on the corner of Washington Avenue and Espanola Way where you can have a ring-side seat to the late-night freak show that happens every weekend!
