Lincoln Road
This Saturday we’re doing the Lincoln Road in style. Here’s the plan. First, it’s either Cafe Nexxt or Balans — both are our favorite outdoor cafes on Lincoln Road due to their locations.
Meat Market, at 915 Lincoln Road. Last time we went there was for Miami Spice which made it doubly good because the prix-fixe menu included Alaskan crab tail, spicy baby back ribs, New Zealand lamb chops or a broiled rib eye steak and milk chocolate panna cotta. Not bad at all! (more…)

For my friends looking for restaurant recommendations, here are two Miami Beach restaurants I whole-heartedly recommend.
Joe’s Stone Crab – Some things change for the better, some things simply fade away… and then there is Joe’s – a landmark restaurant where presidents and kings, linebackers and lawyers sit shoulder to shoulder cracking rock hard crab claws and marveling at the well oiled machine that is the most successful dining room in the history of Miami Beach since 1913. Fickle South Floridians love to discover the new and different. We become enthralled with a novelty like the latest cellphone, the limited edition trainer or the off-the-beaten-path restaurant and quickly name drop our latest discovery to all of our friends before quickly moving on to our next infatuation. In recent months, the glut of restaurants offering hearth baked pizzas, juicy gourmet burgers and grass fed prime steaks has reached the tipping point. Kobe Club in South Beach is a celebrity hotspot by restaurant dynamo Jeffrey Chodorow and his partner, Charlie Walk. They have recently introduced the Kobe Club Fall Pre-Fixe menu, a three course meal for $39.00 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). (more…)

We really enjoyed dining on the patio at the Pelican hotel with the ocean breeze and amazing parade of people walking by. Ocean Drive may be touristy, but it has a certain ambiance that’s hard to beat. (more…)

Shall we have a moment of silence for Fanucci’s on Lincoln Road, please. It closed recently and it was one of my favorite Italian places to dine –and that’s saying a lot in a town that has a top-notch Italian restaurant on every corner. (more…)
