Windsor at Westside Resort Amenities: How to Build a Resort Day Around Nice Palms

A stay at Nice Palms does not have to mean leaving the community every morning. Windsor at Westside gives families and groups a second layer of vacation space beyond the villa itself, which can make a deliberately slower resort day one of the easiest days of the trip.

Start with the difference between the villa and the resort

Nice Palms is your private eight-bedroom, six-bathroom vacation home with its own pool and spa, kitchen, game room, living spaces and room for up to 16 guests. Windsor at Westside adds shared community amenities that can be useful when the group wants a change of scenery without committing to another full attraction day.

That distinction is valuable for large groups. Some people may want a quiet morning at the villa while others head to the clubhouse, fitness center or pool area. A resort day does not require every guest to follow the same schedule.

What the resort currently offers

Windsor at Westside currently lists a resort-style pool with a waterslide, children’s water playground, fitness center, picnic and barbecue area, business center, sports courts, a sundry shop and Tu Casa Tiki Bar and Fireplace Lounge. Nice Palms guests also know the community for its lazy-river-style water experience, which makes the shared pool area a natural place for a lower-pressure day.

For families with different ages, the advantage is choice: younger children can focus on water play, older children and adults can use the pool or sports areas, and adults who want exercise can visit the fitness center.

Know the clubhouse rules before you arrive

The resort’s current guest information says guests are asked to complete a pool waiver when entering the clubhouse amenities and that the waiver is required once per day for the party. The resort also says outside food, beverages and coolers are not allowed on the pool deck or inside the clubhouse, while Tu Casa provides poolside food and beverage service.

Those details are worth knowing before a group walks over carrying a full picnic setup. Keep resort-specific plans separate from meals you intend to enjoy back at the villa.

A simple resort-day rhythm

Morning: breakfast at Nice Palms, followed by a relaxed start and clubhouse/pool time.
Midday: poolside lunch if desired, or return to the villa for an easy meal.
Afternoon: divide the group between water activities, sports, the fitness center, game room or private pool.
Evening: cook together, order dinner, or make one short Orlando-area outing rather than another full admission day.

The point is not to “use every amenity.” It is to give the group a day with fewer deadlines.

Vehicle and arrival planning matter for a large group

The resort currently states that 8–9 bedroom single-family homes are limited to five vehicles. Guests are instructed to arrive through the appropriate community gate with booking confirmation and a driver’s license. Because these procedures can change, confirm the current Nice Palms arrival instructions before travel rather than relying on an old screenshot or prior visit.

Why a resort day can improve the rest of the vacation

Theme-park trips often fail from over-scheduling rather than lack of entertainment. A resort day gives tired feet a break, lets children sleep later, creates time for laundry or groceries and gives adults room to enjoy the villa rather than treating it only as a place to sleep.

For multi-household groups, it can also be one of the easiest days to reconnect because nobody has to coordinate ride times, dining reservations and attraction priorities all at once.

Planning note: Hours, access rules, attraction offerings and resort procedures can change. Confirm current details before your visit. Official resources: Windsor at Westside Guest Information.
